HISTORY

The historical research archive of the Society is administered and maintained by the National Historian. It is the primary resource for Fifth Infantry Division and Society history. This archive is the only repository exclusively for the division’s history. Contents date from before the 1900s to the present and include several databases, military documentation, publications (private, commercial and military), photographs and various objects of historic importance. Contents are catalogued and accounted for on a database. Physical access to the archive is limited to those with appointments scheduled by the National Historian. Direct all inquiries about Division and Society history or about donation of archival materials to the National Historian. This Society is a 501(c)(4) Veterans’ Organization and donations to the Society are deductible on federal tax returns.
